BIO

Dr Aishath Shakeela is a Senior Lecturer at the Griffith Business School, Griffith University. Her research expertise lies in the fields of sustainable tourism; tourism management; and small island tourism destinations. Aishath’s high calibre research is evident in publications in top-tier journals including the Journal of Sustainable Tourism, Journal of Travel Research, and Annals of Tourism Research. Her consultative recent projects include a UNDP funded project analysing the Gaps and Disincentives that Exist in the Policies, Laws and Regulations Which Act as Barriers to Investing in Climate Change Adaptation in the Tourism Sector of the Maldives.
