BIO

Dr Syezlin Hasan is a Research Fellow at the Australian Rivers Institute and Griffith Business School, Griffith University. Syezlin’s interdisciplinary research integrates economics and environmental science to inform decision making and policy. She works collaboratively with members of her research team across a wide range of research areas in terrestrial, coastal and marine environments. Her research projects include environmental-economic accounting, nitrogen trading, economic valuation of ecosystem services, sustainability science, cost-benefit analysis and cost-effectiveness analysis. Syezlin is a staff member of the Earth Commission, a scientific component of the Global Commons Alliance, for which she provides research support to Working Group 5 on cross-scale translation of the Commission’s global assessment into science-based targets for businesses and cities.
