Greg Leach oversees the regional engagement and natural capital portfolio in AgForce Queensland with longer policy development experience in vegetation - landscape management and land use competition. Since 2018, he has assisted AgForce members develop AgCarE, a methodology that assesses Natural Capital condition and Sustainability at the property level and provides metrics for offset, carbon, biodiversity other emerging markets. Prior to AgForce he spent over 25 years consulting with 3,000+ landholders and assisting with property management planning concerns, with emphasis on enabling profitability while restoring natural assets and preserving property rights.
Greg has a doctorate from Wageningen University in the Netherlands and extensive experience in agricultural extension, consultancy, policy development and program management. He is passionate about the land, agriculture and the people who live and work in regional, rural and remote Australia. He seeks to influence preservation and sustainable development of rural landscapes, businesses and communities and vegetation management policies and regulation in the interests of farmers.
