BIO

Professor Yang currently leads a Smart Energy Systems Group in Institute for Intelligent and Integrated Systems at Griffith University working on renewable energy integration, microgrid control and optimisation. He has extensive expertise in microgrid control and optimisation, networked control systems, distributed filtering and sensing, reliable fault detection and diagnosis, coordinated control for distributed solar power generation systems. His research aligns to Australian Government commitments and investments in low emissions technologies to support net zero emissions by 2050. He has authored and co-authored published 315 fully refereed high-quality journal articles and conference papers and secured a range of ARC grants. Professor Yang has been serving as an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics. IEEE Industrial Electronics Magazine, Journal of The Franklin Institute, Australian Journal of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (an Engineers Australia journal), and the Conference Editorial Board of IEEE Control Systems Society.
