Grant holds the position of Regional Director, Far North Queensland in the Department of Trade, Employment and Training. In this role, Grant is responsible for delivering workforce, training and skilling programs across one of the most diverse geographic regions in the state, that includes Cape York and the Torres Strait.
Additionally, Grant is the Chair of the Far North Queensland Regional Leadership Network, which comprises the senior leaders of state agencies and other public sector entities to understand regional challenges, promote collaboration and build regional leadership. Grant is one of six Chairs across Queensland.
Grant has completed the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG) Executive Master of Public Administration and holds economics qualifications from the University of Queensland. Grant has over 23 years experience working across central and line agencies in the Queensland public service, with a focus on strategic policy, as well as regional program design, engagement and service delivery
