Katie-Anne has over 15 years’ experience in industry development and policy and is the CEO of the Queensland Renewable Energy Council, representing large scale renewable energy development across Queensland. Katie-Anne’s experience is grounded in representing and advising large scale industries on leading practice regulatory frameworks across the mining and gas industries and now the renewable energy industry. Working at both the Federal and State levels of government, Katie-Anne has a deep understanding of policy development and pathways to implement and review.
Katie-Anne is passionate about responsible and sustainable development that drives economic growth and prosperity of regional Australia. Katie-Anne recently led a new joint regional initiative with the Queensland Government and Coexistence Queensland, the Queensland Community Renewables Forums, which are a collaborative effort to collaborate and engage with regional Queensland communities and local governments on renewable energy developments. The series of forums, in Miles and Nebo to date, have been pivotal in bringing key decision makers to the regions to talk about the why, what and how of large scale renewable energy development.
