Professor Mohan Jacob is a Professor of Electrical Engineering and Associate Dean of Research Education at the College of Science and Engineering, James Cook University. He is a leading expert in plasma-based material fabrication and surface modification, polymer-based coatings, nanomaterials, and waste processing systems using microwave pyrolysis.
With a strong focus on sustainable materials and advanced manufacturing, Professor Jacob has made significant contributions to research in bio-based polymers, electronics, biomaterials for medical devices, and the circular economy. His expertise spans graphene, plasma polymerisation, microwave characterisation, and thin films.
