Webinar
Subject:
Communities in transition
Geographic Coverage:
Queensland
This webinar explores the challenges, key issues and opportunities of net zero transitions across Queensland’s regions. With a range of speakers from different parts of Queensland, we examine the regional place-based dimensions, industry specific changes and the broader impacts of decarbonisation due differences in magnitudes and speeds at which decarbonisation is taking place across the regions. We also identify key policy and practice issues for transitions so that policies are attuned to the needs of regions.
The webinar was organised by James Cook University, Queensland Decarbonisation Hub and the Regional Economies Centre of Excellence. Our aim is to build genuine partnerships for change across the household, business, neighbourhood, community, regional and sectoral scales. Together, we're keen to support our regions to achieve the best regional development outcomes in the midst of these coming challenges and opportunities.
